EAS Energy Gel is a highly concentrated carbohydrate endurance fuel. It is made of a glucose-fructose system, and contains 20% natural fruits, plus long chained maltodextrin and maize starch. This carb composition, not only instantly energizes your body, but it also takes care of your long term carbohydrate requirements. EAS Energy Gel is an advanced nutritional carbohydrate supplement to increase and maintain energy levels before, during and after exercise - designed for all high out put endurance athletes, whether you're cycling, skiing, running, doing a triathlon, a marathon, playing football, hockey or soccer.
EAS Energy Gel is formulated to provide your body's quest for carbs in a concentrated form. The combination of fast and slow carbohydrates provides a continuous energy supply for long and intensive endurance exercises. During a race or an intense workout, you need rapidly absorbable (fast) carbohydrates and also sustainable (slow) carbohydrates to replace the energy/glucose you are burning. This can be up to 400 - 600 kcal per hour = max. 150g of carbs.
The extremely low fat and fiber content does not slow down the absorption of carbohydrates, and does not leave you feeling bloated. Because of its gel form and interactive ingredients, the EAS Energy Gel is absorbed much faster than a bar so you will feel the energy instantly. They amino acid taurine and the trace element Chromium, aid each other to provide the necessary energy from the carbs, without activating an unnecessary insulin peak.
Every serving of EAS Energy Gel (2 servings / pouches) contains 20% RDA of metabolic active vitamin's (B-complex) and 20 % RDA of the antioxidant vitamins, vitamin C and E, to combat free radicals which are produced during exercise. The mineral blend is optimized for endurance carb metabolism, which ensures proper neuromuscular functioning and replaces the electrolytes lost through sweating. The added 500 mg of free BCAAs (Branch Chained Amino Acids) / serving can protect muscles from catabolic - destructive situations (muscle tissue breakdown). EAS Energy Gel is "not too sweet" and is gentle to the stomach. Although being a high concentrated carb gel, it does not have this extreme stickiness, which makes it challenging or even awkward to swallow. This gel is suitable for vegetarians and is of course tested for steroids and stimulants.
Recommended use: 1/2 sachet (= 50g/1 serving) per 30 min. of activity, best with 200 ml of fluid. Also consume 2 servings immediately following the workout to ensure maximized glycogen loading. This takes advantage of the so called post-exercise window, when your body replenishes it glycogen storage most efficiently and easily. This will also assist in reducing post-exercise fatigue.
Q. Why should I drink fluid with Energy Gel?
A. As Energy gel is a highly concentrated and needs to be slightly diluted. 200 ml of fluid is sufficient for this job. Also, it is not a not a substitute for liquid replenishment.

A. Absolutely. Different sources of energy are helpful for different circumstances. Have a Myoplex Energy bar before a race or game to provide your body with the nutrients it needs to compete, down a Energy gel during activity when you need additional energy, and follow up with a Myoplex RTD or an other EAS product suitable to your personal nutritional situation to optimize your muscle recovery.
