ISO-DRIVE is an isotonic drink (275 mmol/l) Isotonic means; that ISO-Drive (35 g of ISO-Drive powder in 400ml) has a concentration of soluble (carbs, minerals, vitamins, glutamine, taurine) which is balanced with those found in the human blood (250-300 mmol/l). The isotonic status of ISO-Drive provides therefore an optimum fluid replacement with electrolytes. Via the carb matrix of saccharose, fructose, maltodextrin and corn starch in combination with the amino acid taurine and Chromium, the necessary energy for endurance and power is delivered, without activating an unnecessary insulin peak.
The added minerals are important to replace perspiration loses and to provide together with the vitamins metabolic active key substances in the carb/endurance physiology. Glutamine is a key amino acid in protein and muscle metabolism and aids to prevent stress induced protein break down. The aromatic orange flavour is low acidic, which eases the essential consumption even of larger amounts, especially during long endurance events or hot weather. Do not forget that already a fluid loss of 2% of your body weight can reduce your overall metal and physical performance by 20%. Slight headaches, tiredness or cramps can be the first signs of dehydration. If you start to get thirsty, dehydration already has begun!
